Privacy Policy

Learn how Finstock, Inc. collects, uses, protects, and manages information when users interact with our products, services, and digital platforms.

This update clarifies product availability, payment processing, identity verification, AI model-improvement controls, recruitment data and archived product terminology.

Data stewardship overview

This policy explains the categories of information Finstock, Inc. may collect, why the information is used, how it may be shared, and which rights may be available depending on a user's location and applicable law.

Finstock, Inc. uses information to operate, secure, support, and improve research and analytics products while applying appropriate safeguards.

1. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This policy applies to personal information Finstock, Inc. collects from or about users, visitors, customers, clients, and other individuals who interact with its services.

It covers information collected through the website, account registration, subscriptions, customer support interactions, communications, and related activities.

It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, services, or applications that are linked to or integrated with the services but are not owned or controlled by Finstock, Inc.

2. Information we collect

Finstock, Inc. may collect information users provide directly, such as name, email address, phone number, company or institution name, job title, billing address, account credentials, and support communications.

Account and profile information may include subscription plan, preferences, communication settings, and account activity.

Payment and billing information may include transaction records, subscription history, billing status, and limited payment details received from third-party payment processors.

Usage and technical information may include IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, access times, referring URLs, approximate location derived from IP address, crash reports, and diagnostic data.

3. How we use information

Information may be used to provide, operate, maintain, administer, secure, and improve the services.

Finstock, Inc. may use information to create and verify accounts, process subscriptions and payments, communicate about account matters, respond to support requests, and provide service-related notices.

Information may also be used to analyze trends, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, detect suspicious activity, enforce terms, comply with legal obligations, and send permitted product or marketing communications.

4. Private Workspace and Local Workspace Mode

User-scoped workspace information is handled as confidential platform information and is not displayed to other users except through authorized collaboration or support workflows.

"Local workspace" describes a user-scoped workflow and, where supported, device-side components. It does not mean that all data is processed only on the device or never transmitted. Depending on the selected feature, data may be processed by Finstock and approved cloud, model, storage, security or integration providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

Finstock does not claim that workspace data never leaves a device unless such behavior is explicitly documented for a specific feature.

5. Identity Verification Data

Depending on the product, payment method, account risk, jurisdiction, enterprise order, fraud-prevention requirement, or Stripe configuration, Finstock or Stripe may request identity verification.

Potential verification categories may include legal name, date of birth, residential or business address, government-issued identification document, identification number, document image, selfie or facial image, liveness or document-authenticity signals, verification result, sanctions, fraud or risk-screening result, and device or network information associated with verification.

Finstock may receive a verification result and limited supporting information rather than the full identity document where Stripe or another approved provider performs the verification.

Verification information may be used to verify identity, prevent fraud, comply with payment-provider requirements, secure accounts, satisfy applicable legal or contractual obligations, and evaluate access eligibility.

We process this information where necessary to perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate security and fraud-prevention interests, or obtain consent where required by law.

Where Stripe performs verification, Stripe processes information under its applicable terms and privacy policy. Stripe's legal role may vary by product and processing activity. Finstock may receive the verification result and limited supporting information rather than the full identity document.

Identity-verification information may be processed in countries where Finstock, Stripe and their approved service providers operate, subject to applicable transfer safeguards.

Finstock retains identity-verification information only for as long as reasonably necessary for verification, fraud prevention, security, contractual record-keeping, dispute resolution and legal compliance. Stripe retains information under its own applicable retention policies.

Access is limited to authorized Finstock personnel, Stripe, approved verification or security providers, and legal or regulatory recipients where required.

You may decline to provide verification information, but Finstock may be unable to activate an account, provide a paid service, complete a transaction or grant access where verification is required.

6. AI Model Improvement and User Controls

Finstock may use eligible workspace content to improve Finstock AI models only when the account holder has enabled the relevant model-improvement preference. This preference is separate from processing required to provide the service, maintain security, prevent abuse, comply with law and produce user-requested outputs.

Eligible workspace content will not be used for model improvement unless the user opts in and an applicable model-improvement program is active.

When enabled, eligible workspace content may be used to improve Finstock-operated AI models and evaluation systems. Sensitive credentials, payment information, identity documents, applicant data and authentication secrets are excluded.

Turning this setting off does not prevent processing required to provide requested features, maintain security, prevent fraud or comply with legal obligations. Turning it off applies to future eligible processing.

Excluded categories include passwords, API keys, payment-card data, bank credentials, government ID images, raw identity-verification data, Careers applicant data, authentication secrets, private integration tokens, and content legally prohibited from such use.

7. Legal bases for processing

Depending on location and applicable law, Finstock, Inc. may process personal information based on consent, contract performance, legal obligation, vital interests, or legitimate interests.

Legitimate interests may include operating and improving the services, preventing fraud, securing systems, communicating with users, and protecting legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by user rights and freedoms.

8. Cookies and tracking technologies

Finstock, Inc. may use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies for essential, functional, analytical, performance, and security purposes.

Users may be able to control cookies through browser or device settings. Disabling certain technologies may affect service functionality, performance, or availability.

9. How we share information

Finstock, Inc. may share information with authorized service providers, vendors, contractors, cloud hosting providers, payment processors, analytics providers, communication providers, support providers, and security providers.

Information may be shared with affiliates or related entities for operational, administrative, compliance, support, and business purposes consistent with this policy.

Information may also be disclosed for legal and regulatory compliance, to protect rights and security, or in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale, or transfer of assets.

Stripe's role and responsibilities depend on the Stripe product used, the applicable Stripe agreement, the customer's location and the processing activity. Stripe processes personal data under its own public terms and privacy policy. Where applicable, Finstock and Stripe may have separate responsibilities for personal data.

10. International transfers

Personal information may be processed or stored in jurisdictions outside a user's country of residence.

Where required by law, Finstock, Inc. uses appropriate safeguards for international transfers, which may include contractual protections or other legally recognized mechanisms.

11. Data retention

Finstock, Inc. retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business purposes.

Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, the reason it was collected, legal requirements, and operational needs.

12. Data security

Finstock, Inc. uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to help protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

No internet-based system can be completely secure, so users should take appropriate steps to protect account credentials and notify Finstock, Inc. of suspected unauthorized access.

13. Privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, restrict, object to, or request portability of personal information.

Users may also have rights to withdraw consent or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority where applicable.

Requests can be sent to support@finstock.co and may require verification before Finstock, Inc. can respond.

14. Marketing communications

Where permitted by law, Finstock, Inc. may send product updates, marketing communications, or promotional information.

Users may opt out of marketing communications through available unsubscribe instructions or by contacting support. Service-related communications may still be sent where necessary.

15. Third-party services and links

The services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, applications, platforms, data providers, payment processors, or analytics tools.

Finstock, Inc. is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party services. Users should review applicable third-party policies before using them.

16. Children's privacy

The services are not directed to children and are intended only for users who satisfy the eligibility requirements in the Terms of Service.

Finstock, Inc. does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If such information is discovered, Finstock, Inc. may delete it as required by applicable law.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Finstock, Inc. may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in services, legal requirements, technology, or business practices.

Updated versions will be posted with a new effective date, and continued use of the services after changes take effect means the user acknowledges the updated policy.
