In this role, you will identify, qualify, and develop business opportunities with financial institutions, investment research teams, fintech companies, data providers, trading analytics users, enterprise clients, and strategic partners. You will manage outbound prospecting, pipeline development, relationship-building, product positioning, commercial discussions, and cross-functional handoffs.
This is a remote role based in the United States, focused on North America. The role may require occasional business travel for client meetings, conferences, partner meetings, or company offsites, subject to business needs and company approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a qualified business development pipeline across North America.
- Identify target accounts across financial institutions, research teams, fintech companies, investment platforms, trading analytics users, data providers, and enterprise market intelligence buyers.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through LinkedIn, email, professional networks, industry events, referrals, and approved business development tools.
- Build relationships with prospective clients, partners, data vendors, institutional users, and strategic accounts.
- Qualify opportunities based on business need, budget, decision process, product fit, timing, and strategic relevance.
- Present Finstock's financial research, market intelligence, analytics, and AI-assisted workflow capabilities to prospective clients and partners.
- Coordinate product demos, discovery calls, commercial discussions, pilot conversations, and follow-up meetings.
- Collaborate with product, research, data, AI, engineering, finance, and leadership teams to align prospect needs with product capabilities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, account notes, opportunity stages, next steps, and forecast inputs.
- Prepare account research, market maps, target lists, outreach messaging, commercial briefs, and management-ready pipeline reports.
- Support partnership discussions involving data providers, fintech platforms, research tools, distribution partners, and institutional workflow integrations.
- Track industry trends, competitor positioning, customer pain points, and market feedback across North America.
- Help refine go-to-market messaging, ICP definitions, sales materials, objection handling, and partner positioning.
- Represent Finstock professionally in external communications, meetings, events, and partner conversations.
- Maintain confidentiality of commercial discussions, prospect information, pricing, partnership terms, and internal company materials.
- Follow internal approval workflows, compliance expectations, data-handling standards, and professional communication requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account development, enterprise sales, fintech sales, SaaS sales, capital markets technology, market data, or a related commercial role.
- Experience developing business opportunities with professional or institutional clients.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, pipeline management, account qualification, discovery, commercial positioning, and stakeholder management.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical, financial, or analytics-oriented products clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building ability and comfort engaging prospects, partners, executives, analysts, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience using CRM tools, sales trackers, pipeline reports, LinkedIn, email outreach, and structured follow-up workflows.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, deadlines, and conversations at the same time.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication and accurate reporting.
- Professional judgment, confidentiality, and responsible handling of prospect, client, partner, pricing, and company information.
- Ability to work remotely in the United States in compliance with applicable laws and eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Notion, Airtable, or similar commercial tools.
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams on product feedback, integration requirements, enterprise workflows, or client implementation needs.
- Interest in AI-powered market intelligence, quantitative analytics, financial research tools, and responsible decision-support technology.
